I don’t know if you’ve heard, but apparently there was a lady who had her face ripped off by a Chimpanzee!?!  A 200 pound Chimp?  I feel terrible for that poor lady.  I can’t imagine being in that position, or watching it happen for that matter.   I wouldn’t want to be a first responder either… or a doctor for that matter catching that one in the Emergency Room.   Now, don’t send me hate mail, I’m not on either side of this argument, but it brings up memories of seeing those signs.  You know the ones.  You’re on a Griswold vacation somewhere and you come across a sign that says something silly like, “Don’t feed the bears!”  My answer was always a simple, “ok.”  But apparently, others were less compliant somewhere along the line.

Anyway, I hope that Lady comes through it ok.  For the rest of us, what have we learned?

This one has nothing to do with the above essay.  I just thought it looked cool.   As cool as a nuclear bomb going off and killing hundreds of thousands of people can be I guess.  When I was in high school, I used to always say that, “People make me pro-nuclear.”  Clever I thought, but have you ever seen pictures of a nuclear holocaust?  Not pretty…..
